Phi Phi Island

Phi Phi Island, located in the Andaman Sea of Thailand, is a stunning destination known for its limestone hills, turquoise lagoons, and world-famous beach at Maya Bay. The Phi Phi archipelago is made up of six islands, with the two main ones being Phi Phi Leh and Phi Phi Don.

Phi Phi Leh is completely uninhabited, offering untouched natural beauty, while Phi Phi Don is home to hotels, restaurants, and more. The islands are part of the Noppharat Thara National Park and cover an area of around 35 square kilometers3. They are about 40 kilometers from Krabi and are accessible by boat from Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak, or Koh Lanta.

The islands gained worldwide prominence when Ko Phi Phi Le was used as a location for the 000 British-American film ‘The Beach’. Today, visitors can explore the islands on day trips, or stay a few days on Phi Phi Don for more in-depth exploration. From snorkeling and beach hopping to enjoying the local cuisine, Phi Phi Island offers a variety of experiences for travelers.
